Accessibility
Accessibility at SHY
SHY should be usable by everyone. Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Where we are today
- Reduce Motion is respected. The app's signature animations — including match moments — honor your system's reduced-motion setting.
- Screen-reader labels exist on core interactive elements.
- Active review: assistive-technology coverage across the app, equivalent alternatives for complex gestures (such as press-and-hold), and color contrast across all themes. We measure against WCAG 2.2 Level AA and update this statement as review advances.
- The public information pages are plain semantic HTML: native links and controls, descriptive alt text on every image, full keyboard operability, and layouts that reflow with browser zoom and text scaling.
Conformance status
In the W3C statement format: SHY is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA — most content conforms, and review continues across the areas listed above.
